Embark on an exciting safari adventure where you will have the unique opportunity to encounter two fascinating species of apes – the rare mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and the lively chimpanzees in Kibale National Park and Kyambura Gorge of Queen Elizabeth National Park. As you explore these magnificent creatures, you will also have the chance to witness a diverse array of wildlife, birdlife, and aquatic life in their natural habitats. Additionally, immerse yourself in the local culture with a community walk to meet and learn from the welcoming locals.
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our friendly guide will greet and welcome you, assisting with your luggage before driving you to a hotel in Kampala for dinner and an overnight stay.
Accommodation options:
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll set off for Kibale National Park, enjoying the scenic hills and local agriculture on the way. Upon arrival in the late afternoon, you'll check in for dinner and a peaceful night's rest.
Accommodation options:
Wake early to enjoy a hearty breakfast, then head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off on a chimpanzee trek. Spend several hours in the forest searching for these fascinating creatures, observing them up close as they engage in various activities like feeding, playing, and caring for their young ones.
Along the way, you may also spot other primates, including the red colobus monkey, black-and-white colobus, and blue monkey. Following your trek, freshen up for lunch before embarking on a guided Bigodi Swamp Walk, which offers opportunities to see diverse bird species, plants, and even more primates.
Return to the lodge for dinner and a restful evening.
After breakfast, journey eastward towards the stunning landscapes of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you'll have lunch and then enjoy an afternoon boat ride along the Kazinga Channel. This picturesque excursion offers unparalleled views of the park's diverse wildlife and birdlife. In the evening, check in for dinner and an overnight stay.
Accommodation options:
Begin your day with an early breakfast, followed by a game drive to witness the park's nocturnal animals as they begin their day.
Return for lunch, then head for the afternoon's main event: chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge or, alternatively, a forest walk in Maramagambo Forest (extra charge applies). Afterward, enjoy dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at your lodge.
Indulge in a leisurely breakfast, then set off for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, passing through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park en route. Keep an eye out for the famous tree-climbing lions, Uganda Kob, Topi, Elephants, and Buffalos. Arrive at the park in the late afternoon and check in for dinner and an overnight stay.
Accommodation options:
Awaken early for breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing, then embark on a quest to find the elusive mountain gorillas within the dense forest. Your time in the forest will depend on the movement of the gorillas, but when you find them, you'll have an unforgettable hour to observe and photograph these incredible creatures up close. Keep in mind that no flash photography is allowed, as it can disturb the gorillas. Afterward, return to the lodge to freshen up, enjoy dinner, and rest peacefully.
Enjoy breakfast before setting off on your return journey to Kampala, stopping for lunch en route. Arrive in the evening and check in at either Sheraton Hotel or Serena Hotel, depending on your reservation, for dinner and an overnight stay.
