This 3-day tour offers the incredible opportunity to track the endangered Mountain Gorillas in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, an experience often described by travelers as a “once in a lifetime adventure.” In addition to gorilla trekking through the dense jungle, you’ll have the chance to visit the local Batwa pygmy community or explore Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s deepest and most picturesque lake, known for its many islands, each with its own historical significance.
Your tour guide will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel in Kampala to begin the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas.
The drive from Kampala to Bwindi takes approximately 8 hours, with several stops along the way. One notable stop is at the equator, where you'll have the chance to take photos, enjoy refreshments, and browse local craft shops for souvenirs. The next stop will be in Mbarara for a lunch break at a tourist-friendly restaurant, offering both local and continental dishes.
After lunch, continue your journey straight to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where you'll check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Though challenging, the experience is incredibly rewarding when you finally encounter these magnificent creatures. You’ll have one hour to observe and photograph the gorillas as they feed, play, and interact in their natural habitat.
